Anchoring Club
Anchoring is of great significance in the present era and the exuberant presence of an Anchor can elate the glory of a programme. Arafa Anchoring Club chisels the skill of anchoring in kids. The club nurtures and trains the students in to elegant and confident anchors. The club members takes up anchoring of all the events of the school. The Club has a staff secretary as well as a student secretary to organise the activities. The club emphasises upon graceful way of presentation, language fluency, pronunciation, confident gestures and the like to mould amazing anchors.

Cherishing the motto - " Beyond the pages- Into a new world", the literary club is committed to tap effective communication and writing skills among students. It organizes rich and diverse array of of literary activities such as debates, declamations, group discussions, poetry writing and recitation, shortstory writing, quiz contests, interactive/ lecture sessions, elocutions, extempore, rhymes, drama- skits, roleplay, versification, picture-talk, postermaking, collageworks, advertising, book-talks, newsbulletins, wall magazines, creative albums, diary entries, language games, vocabulary hunt, grammar games, spell check, puzzles etc. Its intricate agenda includes a variety of activities aimed at building up the confidence and grooming the talents of students in facing various interpersonal challenges and competitions. It is formed to give students opportunities to liberate their thoughts and develop students’ presence of mind by testing their intellectual depth on different relevant topics.
Scientia
The Science club of Arafa has got a vibrant membership of students from Std V to XII and teachers of the department of science. Vanamahotsava was celebrated every year with much zeal. Arafa Science Exhibition was conducted every year and it creates a platform for the sprouting of new generation scientists. Projects, working models, still model etc tastes innovation and they are rimming up perfection in the every passing year.
National level talent search exams like Chinthana science exam, National Science Talent Search Exam, Science Olympiad etc are conducted every year in a fair manner. Every year science club conducts various activities like quiz, seminars, symposiums, role plays, debates, model-making, field trip etc for the allround development of the children. Scientia maintains a bulletin-board on which latest trends and information in the field of science was displayed. Scientia works with utmost sincerity to fulfill its motto “Exhilarate through experiencing and experimenting”.

The mission of the Math Club ‘ MATHEMAGIC ’is to spread mathematical knowledge and promote the field in an enjoyable and educational environment. The club provides the opportunity to socialize and share ideas. Hopefully, experiencing the wonders of maths will result in a positive attitude towards the subject that will create enthusiasm in the future prospective teachers. The introduction of The Abacus system has placed a great emphasis on the enjoyment factor, whilst striving to enhance the child’s numeracy skills making maths enjoyable, fun, interesting, intriguing, and rewarding. Activities of Maths Club ranges from Experimenting paper activities, Designing Multicultural lesson resources and Conducting seminars.

The socio-science club –“ SOCIAL VISTA ” aims at making children responsible, productive and useful members .It focuses on inculcation of values in children like patriotism, discipline, understanding historical culture promoting social harmony, brotherhood, humanity through skits, projects, speeches, group discussions and seminars. Celebrating festivals and observing important days have become an integral part of joyful learning, community building and thought provoking processes. The elections for the Students’ Council are held every year in the month of June. The procedures and processes followed for the elections give students a taste and flavour of a living democracy. An election committee is formed to supervise the campaigning, filing of nominations and voting for the elections.

The Eco- green club cherishes the motto ‘ learning to live sustainably ’. It creates awareness and sensitivity among students towards environmental issues and their connected problems. They manage green activities, such as growing trees and medicinal plants, vegetables and cleaning-up activities such as collecting rubbish, waste- recycling management, cleaning public streets, removing plastic carrier-bags, bottles, plastics and organic waste. It instills in students a sense of responsibility for the environment and a personal commitment to protect and preserve it. It also educates and cultivates an appreciation and interest in the environment. It undertakes, tree plantation drives, cleanliness drives, anti plastic campaigns both within and outside school. Above all it builds attitudes to help individuals and social groups acquire a set of values and feelings of concern for environment, and the motivation for actively participating in environmental improvement and protection.
Tourism Club
Tourism club is a unique enterprise of Arafa English School. The club organizes trips to various places of tourist interests. The members of the club gets the flavour of culture, historical importance, scenic beauty, climatic features etc of the places they visit. The club also hosts classes which reveals the scope and relevance of tourism in the present scenario. Tourism club of arafa blends its activities by hailing the advice and support of District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC). Tourism club of Arafa has elated to glory within a short span of time, and its endeavors are getting more and more fostered by each passing year.
Student Police Cadet

The Student Police Cadet (SPC) Project is a school-based initiative by Kerala Police that trains high school students with an objective of creating a vigilant, peaceful and development-oriented society by inculcating a sense of responsibility, social commitment and the readiness for selfless service in young minds. Both boys and girls, are enrolled as Cadets and teachers are trained as school-level Community Police Officers (CPOs). The cadets involve themselves in various activities like sports, games, drills, parade, camps, study tours grouped in three categories like physical training, creative learning and study classes. The project evolves within the young generation a respect for the law, discipline, civic sense, empathy for vulnerable sections of society and resistance to social evils. The project also enables youth to explore and develop their innate capabilities, thereby empowering them to resist the growth of negative tendencies such as social intolerance, substance abuse, deviant behaviour, and anti-establishment violence.
